ENGL 116a

Professor Stefans is interesting and really knowledgeable however, while teaching, he has a monotonous tone that can get really boring. Maybe 116a is a hard class to teach as there are many novels to read that are so eccentric it's hard to actually teach and discuss them. I didn't like most of the books like Voyeur, The Crying Lot of 49, Composition No. 1, etc. but I came across a few i enjoyed and learned more about an author I like Kathy Ackers.. There was one giant paper (60%) and blog posts every monday (40%) that made up our grade.

I think this class was very fun, but there was a lot of writing, which is to be expected in a writing class, but it was about as much work as some of my 5 unit classes but it was only one unit. Stefans was really nice and I liked his class! the assignments were fun for the most part. I would take it again, especially if i didn't have a lot of other writing heavy classes!

A light class if you have a heavy load. He's very chill. like VERY chill. he vaped in class, bought us pizza, and had a presentation on the cultural importance of Pepe the Frog. Unorganized in a sense, but cares about his students. Shares a little bit too much information about his life. Weird guy. Love him tho
