I had him for Philosophy 3

DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS FOR THE PHILOSOPHICAL GE. Worst idea I've made in a while. His lectures consist entirely of far too in-depth material and him hacking up who knows what every 3 seconds. And don't expect him to involve the class in his lectures - I didn't understand at first that every question he raises in class regarding the lecture is rhetorical and meant to be answered by him. Don't expect any interaction with him unless you plan to go to office hours, which I couldn't think of a reason why to save my life, since the material is easy and clear enough even without his lectures. The TA's (or mine, Michael Lopez, at least) get upset and pissy that no one CARES ABOUT PHILOSOPHY and goes to office hours, which are at 730 in the morning before class by the way, and this DEFINITELY factors into your midterm/final grade in the class. I'm not a bad writer at all, I've gotten A's on every other college paper I've written so far, and I got a 71 on the midterm essay (worth 30% of the grade) which is posted on Friday and due on Monday, so I couldn't have gone to office hours even if I had wanted to. This class is way more stressful than a GE is worth. Class average for the midterm was an 80, which really shouldn't be happening for a PHILOSOPHY class. If you're looking for a GE to take, avoid this one like the plague.
