Professor Baker is an amazing! If you go to lecture you will have all the information needed for the exams and guide you on what information you really need from the reading, which is the material he lectures on. He is extremely knowledgable on abnormal psychology and has lots of personal experience to offer. Classes are very organized and easy to follow. He organized a meeting for students to answer questions about graduate schools in psychology, and was very knowledgeable in that area too. The exams are very fair and he gives out the long essay questions before the exam and the short answer questions are usually based on the long essays he doesn't use for the midterm. I highly recommend him for abnormal psych.
Lectures: good, very explanatory, necessary for exams. A lot of examples that are explained in the text but shown visually in class. gives a good grasp of what you're actually studying.
Tests: very broad, so be ready for anything that could be included. you could find yourself studying for something that was discussed in class but will never be asked in the exams.
Professor: He's not bad, I don't understand why everyone says he's a bad person. I guess those who did write about him in that way were those snotty students who are always bugging him at all times just to get a good elbow rub for the final grade. Just stick to your business. any questions? email or office hours. but just don't ask before class, he's very into getting organized so he can just start fast when everyone gets to class.
Grading: Fair, just study a lot.
