Carla really knows her stuff, but her lectures can be on the dry side sometimes. I guess it is accounting we're talking about here. She has a propensity to move very fast, and although she stops sometimes to see whether the class is on the same page, sometimes she's so far ahead that the students haven't even figured out that they don't know what she's talking about. Her exams are pretty tough, and I suppose it helps if you've taken a few accounting classes before (which I had not, so take this review with a grain of salt). Her homework assignments (case writeups) are pretty straightforward, and some of them are even interesting. The book is laborious though. She is one of the most concerned professors I've encountered however; VERY dedicated to students' learning. She will work with you in her office until you get it (or pretend that you do).
