I took JS 10 with Bakhos and loved it. She's a very nice professor who actually cares for her students, remembers names, and greets you when seen outside of the classroom. You honestly don't need to buy any of the books, I didn't and I was fine. Just do her study guides thoroughly and you can not be more prepared. It's better to do the study guide with someone else so you guys can help each other study and bounce info off each other. I had Candice for my TA and she was awesome too, almost as amazing as Bakhos. Her discussions were always engaging and she's an exciting story teller. Honestly, this is a rare type of class at UCLA because it's easy, you learn a lot, gain friends, and enjoy the class. It's also that much better if you're Jewish because it helps you learn more about what Judaism means in almost every aspect. O yea, she also makes you go to a few events outside of the class that can be cool. Lecturers speak about something related to Judaism and we had a few cool ones, the best was about the Holocaust. They are also cool cause you get free Diddy Riese. Anyways, her lectures are fun and not disorganized I don't know why people keep saying that. She might talk a little fast but its fine. Half of the classes aren't even taught by her, she brings in famous and important people within the Jewish community to teach class as well to keep it exciting. Yea, she's amazing, take this class you'll love it.
