Before I begin, I'm selling the 4th edition of Social Psychology (PDF version) by Gilovich for $15. If you're interested, send a text to **********. I accept Venmo, PayPal, and physical cash in person.

She's a great professor. The class wasn't too difficult nor was it too easy; just right. She provides slides before class even starts and also offers extra credit (SONA). The textbook is necessary because she would occasionally test material from the text that isn't taught in lecture. Honestly if you just read the text and not go to class you'll do fine. Overall a good professor, no BS like other professors out there (looking at you Firstenberg).

Honestly was such an easy class. If you missed lecture, she had an online videos you could watch. She mentions using a book, but honestly I don't think you need it at all. I got by through just coming up with applications for every single term which helped out a lot because her exams were very scenario based! She is also really helpful too.

So interesting and so easy. I never read the the textbooks, I just took notes on the vocal words in each chapter. The exams were all online and open note, and we took them once alone and then again immediately after with a group. The content itself was very general and very easy to understand, but super interesting (think AP Psych). Parkinson was engaging, but also try to get A. Bhola as a TA she was so great!

I would say this class was a pretty easy A. The material was not difficult to understand; there is just a lot of memorization of different psych terms in this class. There were 3 exams, each non-cumulative, that were online and proctored through Zoom. The exams were very straightforward and all multiple choice (about 40 questions each). Lectures are pre-recorded and posted which was very convenient, so if for some reason you want to get ahead on lectures you can. There is SONA extra credit as well. There are also required textbook readings. However, I don't think you need to read the textbook to do well. Prof Parkinson provides online flashcards with key terms from each chapter. If you fall behind on reading like I did, just memorize the flashcard terms for each chapter, which takes far less time. I think the class was interesting but extremely manageable, and it's a great course to take if you're interested in social psych or just need a GPA boost.

I had a lot of fun with this class. The tests are fairly straightforward as long as you are up to date with the readings and lecture material, and the TA's do a phenomenal job of reviewing important key terms right before an exam. Take advantage of the extra credit opportunities, and take this class!

Okay class. if you like sociology or social psyc this class is worth it. not my fav topic so i couldnt connect to it. she is nice and wants you to succeed. offers option online so it is kind of hybrid. most of the 3 tests are based on vocab, textbook readings, and lecture. easiest way i passed was making quizlets for the vocab and youll do fine. be sure to read.

This class is perfect. Take it 100% even if it's not a requirement, this class should be taken for all human beings. You learn so much about human nature and social behavior; and the concepts you learn in this class are so interesting and so applicable. As for the class- very very minimal homework, like 3 assignments throughout the whole quarter and its just a page reflection of your life. 3 exams, non cumulative- with group portion as well, and the tests are fair and pretty easy imo if u just listen to lecture a bit or skim the textbook. prof super understanding and kind, takes feedback from students and listens very well.

I learned so much valuable information in this course with Professor Parkinson. She was very passionate about teaching and it genuinely showed in the topics she covered in class, the few assignments he gave, and the questions she provided for discussion.

I really loved this class and Professor Parkinson. The exams felt very fair; as long as you put the work in, I feel like you're guaranteed to get a minimum of a B. If you don't like reading textbooks, your grade will likely suffer in this class. For exams, knowing the key terms in the text are a minimum. I highly suggest taking this class and expecting to keep up with the chapters each week. Then again, I know several people who were able to be successful without reading the book at all. Either way, I thought this class was enjoyable and really loved Professor Parkinson's passion for the subject.

Overall, I would take a class again with Professor Parkinson! She was very clear and accommodating of students, and genuinely listened to feedback and implemented changes. In Fall 2021, her course was based on the following:
1. Weekly one-pagers (short and simple, based on the lectures/readings)
2. 3 exams
The class was entirely asynchronous, which is probably the biggest downside as it was slightly disconnecting, but I knew what I was getting into when I signed up for that. Attendance is optional, and the workload was very reasonable.
