I don't know what the other reviewer is talking about, I found Carpenter to be a very good professor. I took her online course over the summer and she doesn't have many deadlines so it's super useful for me to set up at my own pace. She also provides recommended deadlines, so if you're the type that prefers a set schedule set up than you can use that.. My TA was Judy and she was also helpful. There were weekly modules with quizzes that are basically open book. The midterm is due whenever you want (as long as it's done before the final) and there's a lab section to the class. There is a lecture midterm, lab midterm, lecture final, and lab final. The only downer is that the material is mandatory and expensive. You have to have the required A&P program to complete the lab and extra credit for the class. Overall a good experience so far and this class is extremely helpful to anyone entering the healthcare field.

Selling: Human Anatomy textbook + A&P program at a (very!) reduced price. Contact me at: **********

Carpenter is a really sweet lady and a decent lecturer. The class is clearly outlined in the syllabus and very manageable. If you section out time each week to complete the online lessons and lab drawings, you will be fine. DO NOT procrastinate or you will struggle. You can do a lab report on your favorite body part for a TON of extra credit, so don't worry too much if you done goofed a bit on the MT or final. FYI she grades on attendance so make sure you set your alarm early not to miss her 8AM. Overall, the class is pretty easy so don't sweat over it.

I really enjoyed this class, it was almost completely asynchronous but the workload was very manageable. There were about 2 modules a week and 7 total labs if you didn't procrastinate and paced yourself, then the workload was pretty light. Professor Carpenter is very sweet and she really cares about her students and is very flexible and understanding. Both the midterms and the final were super easy if you just review the quizzes she provides. You don't really use the textbook except for occasional definitions for your labs but there's a pdf so there's no need to buy it; you do have to buy the lab software though. I didn't feel like our live discussions were super helpful but since they were only once a week for 30-45 minutes, I didn't mind. Overall, an easy and fun class.

I thought this class was super super easy. There are weekly modules with a lot of mini ungraded quizzes and one actual graded quiz. Often they have the same questions and answers can easily be looked up. The midterm and final are the same format as well. Attendance of weekly discussion sections are mandatory. The most time consuming thing to do was the lab notebook.

I took this class while COVID season was going on so I had to take it online! But overall the class is setup by topics and you watch videos of where Professor Carpenter is lecturing and reading the slides about these topics. Every topic had it's quizzes which you can take up to how many times you want. There was a quiz though of 10 questions once the topic was done which did count for your grade and you could only take it once! You don't need the anatomy textbook for this class so don't even rent it or buy it. You will just need to buy a software in PAL so you could see the cadaver and draw parts of the body in your laboratory notebook which you can either do in your ipad or in a notebook! For the exams, really just study the slides she presents, your laboratory notebook, and add as much info on the study guide. If you do take it online she will use respondus but not to worry she only uses the lockdown browser, no camera or mic on! IF YOU STUDY, GO THROUGH THE LECTURES OR GO TO LECTURE , AND HAVE GOOD NOTES YOU WILL FOR SURE GET AN A+! Also you don't really have to go to discussion like online our discussion was like about 10 mins. That was worthless, but do go to lecture! You got this!

I found her 8AM lectures to be useless because the class literally lasted for 10 mins everytime, You practically are teaching yourself the material through her online videos and modules. Her exams were multiple choice and not hard because of the study guides she gives us.
