Learned a lot in this class. Small bite-sized assignments and readings that feel easy but add up to a lot of useful knowledge. She teaches a few really interesting subjects. Really accessible and kind, super helpful in office hours.
Clear and generous grading, not a huge time investment to do well.

Considering this was the only course I was taking over the summer, it was very manageable and didn't consume a large part of my time. The assignments were organized and included in-depth instructions on how to complete the assignment and her expectations from us. Dr. Zeleny is also a very kind professor and she puts in the effort to make sure we're engaged. Highly recommend taking a class with her!

Loved the class, pretty easy A! She tends to be very flexible with a lot of the assignments. Would definetly take this class again!

Professor Zeleny is great! She is super nice and her class is enjoyable. It does require some reading and group work, but it was nothing super time-consuming and I say it was fair for a 4.0 unit course. You basically have a group project and she assigns a topic and she gives you time to work on it throughout the quarter. She is also really helpful if you're struggling with your group research! I really liked this class and I would recommend it!

Throughout the entirety of the course, Dr. Zeleny has provided relevant resources through articles, documentaries, and films that complimented well with the coursework. She also efficiently made use of the breakout rooms where the class were able to spend more time with our individual groups. She also genuinely wants us to try our best to apply our knowledge from the relevant articles and media. Even during circumstances that are out of everyone’s control, Dr. Zeleny’s flexibility and understanding shows one of the many ways that she is dedicated to the course. I enjoyed her class and would take it with her again!
