This professor is the worst!!!!!! I have never met as bad professor as her!!! Oh my goodness!!!! She was late for the class EVERY lecture for more than 10 mins AND she was even late for the Midterm!!! For 20mins!!!!!!! Do u know what the reason for her being late for the midterm? To print out the exams and apparently the printer’s broken (she wrote this in the email). I mean why would u print out the exams right before the test began??!!!! And the exams were even not stapled and some students even didn’t have the exam because she printed insufficient amount of tests, so those who did not get the exam had to wait till others finish. Horrible!!!!!!! And the test did not even cover the core of the materials. Not only me, but also many of us felt that she just randomly copied and pasted from some paragraphs in the textbooks... terrible! This resulted in approximately 60%of the class failed the exam and she promised us during midterm that she would curve the class. However, NO! She lied to us. And she forced us to comply that since 60% of the class failed, we should replace the final grade with the midterm grade which means that our final grade’s worth 75% of the total grade. Also whenever we came to her ask questions, she always answered: “ sorry, I don’t know. Go check your textbooks, there should be enough infomation.” If I can study by using the textbooks, then what’s point for me to pay the hella expensive tuitions and attend lecture??!!!
When we argued she being late for midterm, her response wad: “me being late worked for your benifits, because I shortened the test (we were supposed to write 8 short answers, but because she was late for 20 mins, we didn’t have enough time to finish the exam, she changed it to 6)” to work for our benifits??!!! Are u kidding me!!!
We wrote petetion to the Political Science Department, and 20 of us went to the office to complain and seek for help, but NOT helpful at all! Anyway, there were too many dramas. She’s definitely the worst professor. Try to avoid her if you can! She curved down the whole class (98% was a B+). DON’t TAKE HER.

Taking her class was the biggest mistake I ever made. At this point, I don't think I need address how bad she was since all other reviewers already mentioned, just don't take her. Some of the students in class said that if you have previously taken any econ classes, you should be fine for this course, but with this professor, it's different story. she is just bad in general. Just don't take her.

She SHOWED UP 16 MINUTES LATE TO HER OWN MIDTERM because of “printer issues,” couldn’t even be bothered to staple the pages together, didn’t even print enough copies of the midterm and asked us to SHARE our midterms when we were done answering the questions???

RUDE AND COVERS UP FOR HER INSECURITY ABOUT HER INCOMPETENCE BY BEING RUDE AND AGGRESSIVE

She knows no one is going to attend her class because its worthless because she’s either reading off the slides or going off topic, so she’s really aggressive about how attendance is “mandatory”

Assigns excessive readings (2 textbooks) that all say the same thing

Essay questions on the midterm covered topics only covered in 1-2 articles, whereas she assigned 3 full chapters and at least 5 articles on a topic that wasn’t even mentioned on the midterm

As she was extremely flustered that the entire class seemed very distressed during the midterm because it was a complete surprise (there was no study guide or even hints as to what it would be on) she said that there would be a curve, but then went back on her word

Sent various emails pretty much attacking everyone for not going to class (because she sucks)

Doesn’t have the full list of readings on the syllabus, updates it without mentioning it or sending an email and expects students to keep up with the newly added readings

By far the worst professor I’ve had in my 4 years at UCLA

Don't take her for any reason
