Looby is a very interesting professor. He's very intelligent, and very friendly. His grading is easier than many professors and TA's; I pulled an A- in this class when I expected probably a B or B-. How boring his lectures are depend on how willing you are to engage in class; if you enjoy speaking and you do the readings, you'll enjoy this. He doesn't penalize for quiet kids, but he does take roll, requiring you to be there.

Good teacher for academically minded kids, if you absolutely hate lecture, avoid this professor.
