Fall 2024 - I took this class for two reasons, one of which is that it fulfills an elective requirement for my major, and the other is that my lab is involved with the class's topic, so it was obviously helpful to learn about it. The class has two writing papers and one recorded presentation, using the rubrics provided I did pretty well on the first and perfect on the second (using comments given explaining my mistakes from the first). I thought Colwell was funny and was always willing to help. I definitely recommend this class, even if you have not much prior knowledge in the subject but are interested in it.

Winter 2025 - This class was very useful for my studies, and although I really struggled with the quizzes we had in discussion (it took until week 9 or 10 for me to get full credit on one), the midterm I did about average (in person test, closed notes) which was 85, and the final was very similar to CM123 in which we are given prompts and we choose one or two of them and create an experimental study to answer the prompt. The professor was very funny and very helpful throughout the course. I was able to enroll in this class even though I hadn't taken the required courses, and although it wasn't the best idea, I was able to do well by dedicating a lot of time to rewatching the lectures and taking notes again to prepare for the quizzes each week.
