This is definitely one of the most difficult math classes I have ever taken (roughly comparable to 131A from my perspective). There is a weekly quiz and optional homework. The proofs are often long and quite different from those in analysis and algebra, which makes the course demanding. However, Prof Robichaux made the class engaging and approachable. She is always kind, helpful, and happy to answer any questions—no matter how unconventional—that I posted on Piazza. She even provided snacks during the final, which was especially helpful for me since I had two consecutive exams that day. The lecture notes were consistently provided, though they could be a bit messy. Overall, I would definitely take her class again if I had the chance.

Definitely top 3 hardest math upper divisions I've taken. Difficulty matches 131A, in my opinion. However, this professor is super chill and down to earth. She understands this class is difficult to grasp and the proofs tend to be on the longer side, so she gives everyone a fair curve. Also extremely helpful in office hours. I greatly appreciated having her as a professor! Would definitely take a class with her again.
