Professor Merlic is one of the best chemistry teachers I've had. He really knows what he's talking about, expanding on the material to relate it to outside topics. He's very welcoming in office hours. Merlic expects you to put in the time but in the end he will reward you with a good grade. Memorize all the mechanisms, reactions, pka's, etc. and do all the worksheets; they're great practice (although harder than the actual exam). I definitely recommend Professor Merlic!

really good professor. he's super helpful in OH and super funny too. All you need to do is MEMORIZE the lecture notes: that's pretty much what half of the test is from..like memorizing the pkas, and whatnot. The synthesis problems he gives you good practice sheets for them. I totally recommend him!
