One of the toughest classes I've ever had, but it was worth it because it made me a better writer. It also made me better at analyzing primary sources. He pushes you to give him your very best, although if you're looking to help your GPA more than your writing skills take someone else.

If you are a prompt, hard-working student, take Yirush. He rewards hard work, and isn't afraid to call out the slackers in the class (which I appreciated). The key to succeeding in his course is to DO THE READING (obviously). He will know if you have or not. Also, as has been mentioned before, you cannot write your paper the day before. He will nail you for stupid mistakes, as he should. However, if you come to him beforehand with a draft he is INCREDIBLY helpful. He really spells out what he wants from you; you will never feel like you're in the dark. Not an easy A whatsoever, but you get a lot out of his discussions and if you put in great effort, you will see results. Can't wait to take his 138 class!!
