Enders is seriously one of the best professors out there. He explains everything with perfect clarity, and genuinely wants everyone to learn and succeed in the class. The workload is pretty light and the exams are very fair. Highly recommend taking it with him!!

CRAIG IS A SWEETIE. He cares about his students and is not looking to trick you with tests or quizzes. His lectures are quite boring though and I oftentimes found myself dissociating because of his slow pacing. Though, I understand that his pacing is deliberate; he just wants to ensure everyone absorbs and understands the information before continuing. I ended with a 98% in the class and you can too! You got this!

Stats isn't the easiest class however he made the material straight forward and explained everything well and thoroughly. Very fair grader. I honestly could have gotten an A if I put more effort in this class.

I loved professor Enders, many complained that he was a bit boring and repetitive but Bc he was so repetitive I never felt like I was behind on material or felt like I had to teach it all to myself. The midterm and final were both very fair. The questions were straightforward and if you pay attention in class should be a breeze. The class is very fair and an A is obtainable as long as you pay attention and do the weekly prep and content quizzes.

I was kinda worried about this class given that i’ve never taken stats before, but it was really easy. The professor reviews a lotttt of the material from the textbook each week to the point where it got repetitive and mundane. I really appreciated that he let us collaborate on the assignments and exams, it helped me learn the material better and feel more relaxed and confident in how I was doing. If you can take this class with this professor, PLEASE do it!!

Definitely take the course! The course content is pretty much what's taught in Stat 10 and AP Statistics. Also, Professor Enders is super knowledgeable. He makes everything clear in the lectures and the texts he writes. The workload is medium. You have a lot of prep quizzes, content quizzes, homework, etc., but you can definitely handle it. I think if you put the effort in, you can definitely get an A.

Besides the first lecture, I didn't go to any lectures this quarter and was able to get full points on all lab assignments, quizzes, and exams. The workload each week is around 1 hour and you can finish things ahead of time since prof sets deadlines at the beginning of the quarter and most of the assignments (class prep and content quizzes) open up for about a week before they close; you also get your scores back once they close so you always know what your grade is basically. There's a lot of freedom in this course in that you work and study on your own time and however you want. The mini-readings assigned under each topic is all you really need to get an A (they take about 10-15 minutes since they're really condensed). Also, since prof encourages collaboration, just check your assignment and exam answers before you take it with a reliable classmate and that should be enough. Because of that though, some people will just do no work and wait for other classmates to give them the answers but there's no curve so it doesn't matter too much.

If you're taking 100a, TAKE IT WITH HIM. He really wants students to do well and his assignments reflect that. This is the first class I took at UCLA and it was so nice feeling like the professor wants you to succeed. There are weekly quizzes and/or assignments, all multiple choice, that you can do endless times until you get it right. There is one midterm and one final, he gives you the questions 2 weeks ahead so you can work on it and if you work with the class, you're guaranteed to do well. I got 100% on the final. He also gives extra credit opportunities for each type of assignment he gives out to switch it with your lowest grade. It's nearly impossible to do bad in this class.
Attendance for lectures and lab is optional, everything is recorded and posted on CCLE. Everything is organized and clear.

PS: if you ask, he'll show you his dog & cat <3

The class itself was pretty easy. It was all online, everything was recorded, and attendance was optional (even to labs). There were a lot of additional youtube resources provided (like crash course statistics). I basically didn't attend any lectures and only watched the crash course youtube videos and the Jamovi youtube videos and still got an A, and I had never taken a stats class before, even in highschool.

One caveat is the professor. Prof. Enders is super unhelpful. He is a "this is the way it is" kind of guy and during such a volatile quarter, he was really unsympathetic. I had a bit of trouble with my final and he was snarky and rude in response. After 14 emails back and forth, we worked it out and I ended up doing really well on the final (and in the class), but if you're looking for a professor who will be understanding if anything goes wrong, this isn't that guy. CAE students beware.
