I lovvveeedd Professor Enders. This class has to be one of my favorites because I felt like I got something out of it that can be applied to something else. His grading rubric is heaven so it's not that hard to get an A as long as you put in the effort to understand the material. He gives you opportunities to make up an assignment or quiz you might have missed or didn't do too well on, but honestly its really hard to mess up on those if you take about 20-30 min out of your day to do them. That's how understandable his class is. Even if you may be slacking off mid-quarter, his slides are easy enough to understand so you can catch back up. Honestly, if you can take this class with anyone take it with Enders!

Professor Enders is an amazing professor who really knows how to clearly teach the subject material. He speaks very clearly and he makes even the hardest of topics easy to understand. Before taking this class, I was a bit apprehensive because he is a new professor here, but he really was the perfect addition to the psych department. He totally cares about student learning and doesn't want to hold us back in any way. That being said, he lets us take the quizzes as many times as we want until we get the perfect score and he doesn't put any weird, out of the blue, tricky questions on the tests. The material itself is pretty tough to grasp at first, but if you study enough, you should be fine. For many, this is their first stats class, and they're doing great!

Really chill professor. He tried to make the concepts as understandable as possible. He allows you to bring a cheat sheet to the midterm and final. No textbook. Weekly quizzes that you can take multiple times. I would recommend this professor

Hated statistics after the tedious and annoying intro to stats class I took in community college and while I was so fearful and dreading this class at the beginning of the quarter, Enders made it not only tolerable but I actually enjoyed it since his lectures were good and helped me understand it. I also like how he gave a lot of assignments and mini quizzes instead of just a midterm and a final because since I did well on all my assignments, it didn't matter than I got a B on both the midterm and final...I still got an A! Doing the assignments are also like studying throughout the quarter so you won't end up feeling as overwhelmed with a bunch of info you don't know when it comes to finals week if you do them and understand it- you won't even need your cheat sheet lol.

The class is not as easy as the people from previous classes made it sound, but it wasn't too hard. He gives a lot of little things to do. You just need to keep track of what you need to do. He uses twitter, ANOVA, poll everywhere, and he gives online quizzes. The plus is that you can use a FULL piece of paper on the midterm and final, but it really wasn't that useful. It just makes u feel more confident. I would take this professor again if I needed the class.

This class was not too difficult as long as you show up to lecture and pay attention. Enders spent the time to teach us how to apply the material rather than doing calculations, so the class was just conceptual. He also held helpful sections to teach us how to use SPSS and to complete the assignments. His lectures were often boring though because he was very repetitive and a little monotone so it was hard to pay attention.

The class consisted of one midterm, one final, about 13 online quizzes, SPSS assignments, and Polleverywhere/twitter questions for participation. The quizzes could be completed as many times as you wanted and the SPSS questions were very similar to what we learned in the lab. I thought the midterm was harder than the final. He asked a few questions on the midterm that people were confused about, and finally elaborated on them after the midterm. The final was pretty easy, and I believe that is because students knew what to expect after the midterm. Also, he posts the data sets online that will be found on the exams online, so that helped me prepare for the final. Overall a good class and I would recommend him over Jaffe for sure.

Enders made going to an 8 am lecture easy for me. On the very first day, he told the class he wanted everyone to get an A. In order to achieve this, he assigns quizzes (7.5% of your grade), polleverywheres and twitter posts (7.5%), and assignments (15%). These help boost your grade and also help you learn the material. Quizzes you should get 100% every time because you have unlimited attempts. Assignments use SPSS which he provides many helpful videos on how to navigate the software (fairly easy). Polleverywheres are just participation for going to lecture. Twitter posts are very simple on definitions or data analysis. The only con to all of this is that they are not assigned on a weekly basis, rather all at once or posted at random times. He will send email reminders, but it's important/helpful to keep a list of all the due dates because they can be all over the place. Also, textbook is not necessary at all.

In terms of the midterm & final exams (worth 70%, multiple choice), he provides so much material to help you study (reposting quizzes -- which look very similar to exam questions and study questions at the ends of lectures) so I don't understand why someone wouldn't utilize these resources. He also posts the data that will be on the exam that you can study before the test. You also get an 8.5x11 cheat sheet where you can fit all the material needed. The course is not curved, and he doesn't give any letter grades with a minus. This means that a solid A is a 90%-97.49% and an A+ is a 97.5%-100%.

I took AP Stats in high school, so this class was sort of a review of that for me (plus some additional hypothesis testing methods that I had not previously learned about). However, Enders was great at teaching the material!
Enders spends a lot of time going over why the material is important conceptually and how to interpret different values that you find (rather than just memorize them) and I really appreciated that. He has a bit of a different perspective on learning than other teachers you've had in the past-he cares way more about whether you understand how to interpret your answers than whether or not you can find them. His tests are catered exactly to this.
His exams are not insanely easy but he lets you have a crib/cheat sheet so if you just write down everything you need to know, you should be fine.
The only difficult thing about this class really is that there are always like 3 assignments due at once and it can be difficult to keep track of when a quiz vs an assignment vs a twitter post, etc. are due. I had to keep making lists of when different things were due because all of the dates were confusing me-but he did send a lot of reminder emails when due dates came up, which I really appreciated.
Overall, I feel like taking Psych 100A with Enders is worth it because I've heard worse about the other professors that teach this class. Enders is pretty great!

To be completely honest, I thought this class wasn't as easy as everyone said it would be. I studied a LOT for the midterm and only scored 81%. The final was ridiculously hard and I'm hoping I passed this class. Praying for some kind of curve so I don't get dropped from my Psychology major.

This is a fairly easy class as long as you do your assignments and quizzes on time.
He gives out a lot of easy points with quizzes for each topic, which you can submit as many times until you get 100%. Assignments with SPSS are also relatively easy as long as you know how to navigate the software. There is a whole lab dedicated to that. There was also twitter questions at the beginning of the quarter, but I think that kind of stopped when there were a lot of technical problems, but those are also some points you can get easily (but use the hashtag he gives and answer before that week's lecture to actually receive the points because he's not very lenient on those)
You have to attend his lectures because he does polleverywhere points, as he is kind enough to not make his students buy actual clickers. He also doesn't require a textbook and everything you need to know are basically on his slides.
However, his lectures can be quite boring. They're long and he tends to go really into details on things that I felt like could be condensed. But that may be because I have taken AP stats before and some of the material was review for me.
His exams are multiple choice and relatively easy. They don't have any calculations and most of the questions are just simple concept/interpreting data questions. He allows you to bring in a "crib sheet," basically an 8.5x11 piece of paper with anything you want written on it. You can basically study just by making the crib sheet and you'll be fine.
Overall recommend him as a teacher as he makes sure you know the material without all the unnecessary memorizing.
