** unlisted UCLA undergrad class: HNRS 173 **

Overall, Professor Lowenstein is categorically a great professor! His grading is more stringent than undergrad professors but he gives plenty of constructive criticism on all submitted work, which helps increase your level of writing in future classes. He is very respectful, bright and always willing to help a student dissect complex questions.

The class grade boils down to three papers, plus a small percentage based on class participation. The secret to getting an A in this class is that you MUST have all your papers analytical and POLISHED (more than a few edits), if not, expect a B+ or lower.

Overall, I highly recommend any of his classes!
