I had him for M106 when he last taught it and BEWARE THE CLASS HAS CHANGED SIGNIFICANTLY..he now gives out weekly quizzes that make sure you do the long, boring ass, dry readings. And he also had one of the wierdest midterms which required you to remember obscure numbers such as "what percent of the Hispanic population has gallstones?" and he took points off on my final easy because of not enough factual data. HE USED TO BE EASY BUT NOW HE NO LONGER IS. Take a different prof, ur gpa will thank you.

Winter 2024 - Wow. Doctor Hayes-Bautista has been an absolutely incredible professor and I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to take this course with him. The Professor's love and passion for the subject in question is evident through his clear but detailed presentation slides and the emotion with which he speaks during lecture. Doctor Hayes-Bautista is an incredible individual who has accomplished so much throughout his life and has touched the lives of countless individuals. I am so grateful that he chose to spend a portion of his time with us in class, not only teaching us everything he knows but encouraging us to give voice to our own stories, thoughts, beliefs, and questions. Beyond the academic setting, Professor Hayes-Bautista is evidently dedicated to providing his pupils with all the tools he has available to help ensure their success in life. I have gained so much wisdom from this course, and an infinitely greater amount of respect for one of the most brilliant researchers in the medical field. Thank you for an absolutely phenomenal semester Doctor!
