I went into this class skeptical about what Bridgewater was going to be like, as I checked out bruinwalk before taking his class. I can honestly say that this class is all about perspective. No one on bruinwalk posted an untrue statement, but at the same time, how you handle Bridgewater is how you will do in the class. Yes, he is very proud of his academic accomplishments, he grades very subjectively and he usually just gives out B's, but the class is still worth taking. I learned quite a bit about public speaking and how to construct and deliver a speech and I also got to learn a lot about my classmates. Because the class is basically three-four speeches and a paper, there is not a lot of lecturing involved, so you get to just listen to your fellow classmates tell about their lives. It was a great group of people I had in my class and I will never forget some of those people as long as I live and I have to credit Bridgewater with that opportunity. If you are only taking this class for a grade, don't. Find another teacher who's easier because there's a 90% chance you're going to get a B or B+. I was one of the few people in my class to actually get an A and I would like to think that a big part of that was understanding how Bridgewater works. If you take his class, talk to him, take his advice to heart and try to look past the grade and see what he's teaching you.
