Prof Cosgrove is one of the best professors i have had at UCLA. He is definetly the most approachable professor ive had, and will go out of his way to talk to students and make sure they understand the topics. He is extremely passionate about the subject and it shows in his lectures. Cosgrove taught the topics so that we cuold apply it to our everyday lives, and it helps you to think about the world in a different way.

cosgrove is a delightful man from across the atlantic (bonus points). i really enjoyed the format of the class. two papers (you observe los angeles and write about it), a midterm and a final (you get to select which short essays you write from many options). my section was sometimes lame because it was 2 hours long and we didnt get a break, but nick our ta was really cool and from what i hear quite popular with the ladies in the class eventhough hes like married. [suspicous he only sometimes wears the wedding band though]. having taken geography 3, i would be more than happy to take another of cosgroves classes in the future and id suggest that others do the same. he is so not mean or anything and is way approachable. just take his class, the only qualm i had was that it was at 10am 3 days a week and waking up was LAAAAAAAAAAME
