He's nice, but may seem arrogant in class. The class is relatively easy, the big thing is participation, and the final that is about 2/3 of your grade. Participate in class, I would recommend to do the readings because they help on the final, and the hardest part is just sitting there for 3 hours...
However, he is interesting to listen to and has great stories to tell. I would recommend this professor to anyone!

Professor Gorin is very intelligent, and overall the class is very interesting. You will definitely learn a great deal about the American trial system, which is extremely important if you are planning on a future in law. Yes, participation is a must (40% of your grade) but really if you add one or two comments a class you will be fine, just make sure he notices you and that you demonstrate your interest in the class. There is only one paper in the class (an analysis of the jury system) so make sure you work on it! Take this class, it is fun, fairly easy, very straightforward and the professor is very sexy (which makes it easier to hear him talk for almost 3 hours).

This was a different sort of class, in both good and bad ways. In one sense, it was really easy and required the least amount of time of all my classes. There was only one actual assignment, a 15 page paper that was basically a summary of the course, graded by an undergraduate TA. However, you have to show up to every class and actively participate if you want an A. Every time a student spoke, Professor Gorin would put a tally by their names. With over 100 people in the class, it felt like a rat race to see who could get the most points in the book. People would raise their hands and say unintelligent comments just to get points, and it seemed like the same 5 or 6 people would get called on a lot while others waited with their hands in the air for an hour. As a professor, Gorin was pretty friendly, although a bit arrogant, and the topic often seemed to wander to stories from his law career, which were sometimes interesting but often dull and irrelevent. The time of the class - 5 to 8pm - also made it difficult to sit through. Overall, the class was pretty easy, but felt like a waste of time.
