class is basically an hour long podcast-rant that makes zero sense. do not take notes, do not buy the plays!!!!!!, just show up and sit there.

With no structure in class, an incomplete syllabus that does not list what will be discussed each week (or contact information) and a tendency to go on tangents, this class was the biggest disappointment as someone interested in playwriting and understanding the structure of plays. Dominic’s lectures never feel organized, or that they have a through line. He loses his thread of thought every few minutes, and coherent, cohesive thoughts or observation on the plays being discussed are few and far between. I know this is a required course for Theater Majors, so everyone will have to take it, but be aware before going in that you should lower your expectations for the quality of this course.
