There wasn't a place to input the class, but I took World Arts and Cultures 22, Intro to American Folklore. I didn't know what to expect from this class, in terms of difficulty or subject matter, but I came away from it with a whole new perspective on the world. Professor Cosentino may seem tough, but he is very passionate about the material he teaches. He is interested in what students have to say and clearly has a vast knowledge of the class' subject area. The projects are fun (though occasionally tedious) and not graded by Cosentino, so the toughness of grading depends on your TA. He does grade the tests however. If you pay attention and do all of your readings you are bound to do well; you may find yourself thinking and talking about the subject matter outside of the classroom. Cosentino has high expectations overall, but if you put in a good deal of work you will find the lectures, discussion, and whole class highly rewarding.
