I’m not sure why Powell gets such a bad rep. Her class was difficult because she only talked in Spanish, but I feel like I actually learned Spanish in her class. She’s pretty funny, and if you’re willing to engage and do the homework you’ll do fine in her class!

I guess it all depends on which TA you get... I had matthew boyce, and he was great. The class is NOT as hard as people make it out to be, it was like a high school spanish class for me.

For Spanish 3, anyway, the class is not taught by powell, but by TAs. And again, it is not that tough -- and this is coming from probably the whitest guy you'll ever find.

Tiffany Powell is synonymous with tyrant. I would honestly rather have slammed my head into a desk every day than attend her class. She is unimformative and deceptive. Be forewarend.

I ended up in Powell's class probably because God was punishing my many sins. However the punishment hardly seemed justified. The class was torturous beyond what you can imagine. She runs the class like a maniacal dictator who vehemently oppresses the students.
