Professor was really great and obviously passionate about the subject. She had engaging lectures and loved when people would participate in class discussions. Participation is also a big part of your grade in discussion sections. Only con about her would be that she talks really fast so it's sometimes challenging to take notes. Attendance is mandatory and you turn in your notes at the end of every lecture, that makes up the majority of your grade. She doesn't post any of the slides online, so you really just have to be there in order to do well. There are no midterms or finals, just a few projects and you had to work in groups. We were allowed to miss 2 lectures without it impacting our grade. I really liked professor O'Brien and I felt like her class taught me a lot.

TAKE THIS CLASS!! I took this class as a GE, and I'm so glad I did. The material is really interesting and applicable to real life. This is such an easy A class. The only things in the gradebook are lecture notes, section participation, doing the readings, and an extra credit final that is a scavenger hunt. The homework, which is the readings, is on a website where you need to leave 2 comments on each reading. Overall I put very little time into this class and found it super interesting!
