I would pray to get struck by lighting, run over by a car, and fall down the hill to my death every day before this class. I have never seen someone so unorganized before in my life, truly unfathomable how nothing in his lectures were done properly or made sense. Not to mention, his writing was absolutely and utterly illegible, I genuinely believed I was taking a foreign language class and not a prob/stats class when I would attend his lectures. The quarter I took his class, we were the first quarter to not have online exams and it was in person, even if you studied you would have still failed the midterm. The midterm was nothing like the practice midterm or homeworks, which I did, at all. The class average was either a 42% or 46% with the highest being a 70%. His weighting scale was 50% final, 40% midterm, and 10% quizzes. Safe to say he was very disappointed with the average and the final was more doable than the midterm but it was still difficult. Even though he curved the class for us after the monstrosity of the midterm average, I still barely skimmed by. Save yourself the time, effort, and mental state and take this class with another professor or over the summer.
His lectures were so unclear I stopped showing up and just attended the discussions. Discussions are super useful to help you complete the homework assignments and the assignments are very manageable. His exams were fair and open tablet/laptop.
