look. if you are teaching in america, you have to realize there are non native speakers in your class. cepeda does not care about them. actually, he could care less.

his teaching style is horrible; he rambles and it's hard to follow along. there should be more professors teaching don quijote. i do not understand why UCLA has a lack of good professors. i believe cepeda is the worst professor i have encountered in the spanish department. what a waste of my tuition.

If you would like to learn about spanish literature(Siglo de oro)I recommend you take this professor. If you are interested in learning about Cervantes and the greatest novel Don Quijote, I would wait to take this particular professor. He is not your typical lecturer at UCLA, one who stands at the front of the class without allowing for student interaction. If you happen to interrupt him during lecture to ask a question, he will stop what he is doing until you understand exactly what he is attempting to convey. You will find that his engagement with the class makes for a better learning environment. Although he does require quite a bit of reading, you will find that his test and his grading is very fair. Also, while he may call on you from time to time, he is always polite and will never disrespect you.
