Professor Zaidel is truly intelligent. He has a good grasp of the material, knows what he's talking about, and generally concerned about students' progress and understanding. Definitely recommend, as long as Krasne isn't in the mix.

One of the sweetest professors I've seen. It's easy to see how much he cares about the course material and about student learning in general. He's one of the few professors that genuinely appreciates questions if he isn't being clear enough and is extremely kind to anyone that chooses to participate. I absolutely loved him. That said, I wouldn't recommend taking this class if Krasne is teaching the first half, but if you have the opportunity to take Zaidel by himself or with another professor, I definitely recommend it.

he was a good professor, but i did wish that he wrote what he said on the slides, because when i was watching on podcast, i often had to pause or go back to re-listen to things that were said very quickly but were super important. yeah, he's a very intelligent and kind looking person, i enjoyed the class.

The lecture notes are not that helpful but make sure to go to class and listen to his lectures carefully. Most of the test questions were related to his lectures. His accent can be a little hard to understand.

This class was okay. Professor Zaidel is a good lecturer, if not a bit boring. Something about Professor Zaidel's voice always made me sleepy. If you can find the material interesting you will do well because you will have no problem staying awake. The exam did not really seem to cover much of the reading from the textbook. The questions were mostly from the lecture and additional material that he posted on the course web page.

The second half of the course, taught by Prof. Zaidel, was interesting. His lectures were easy to follow and he seems to know what he's talking about (unlike Prof. Krasne). The slides resembled those from the first half of the quarter, taught by Prof. Krasne, and they weren't helpful. Prof. Zaidel's portion on the final was easy as long as you took good notes and study them well.

This class was team taught by Prof. Zaidel and Krasne. I found Prof. Zaidel's lecture's really boring. He tests mostly on lecture so make sure to go to class and take notes. His slides are also not that helpful if you just try to study those. I do NOT recommend this professor. It's sad that going into this class I was really interested in the subject and now I hate it because these professors collectively were poor teachers.
