Great professor! He even wrote me a letter back! He is very helpful in a lot of ways, and provide amazingly effective feedback as long as you come to his office hour. He recommends using electronic textbook, "The Everyday Writer", I have the PDF version for $10, text me at **********.

Dr. Gudas is my favourite professor at UCLA. He is super engaging and always makes sure that his students have all the resources they need. Signing up for office hours was always helpful. My quarter, there were three essays in two units and he offers revisions of two of them (not the final essay obviously). Do the revisions!! He explains exactly what he wants and provides examples so you're not left guessing what to do to get an A. He's a super kind and charismatic teacher, so I would definitely recommend taking this class with him.

Quarter: Winter 2017
Grade: A

Dr. Gudas is an amazing teacher. His office hours are always helpful and he allows students to do multiple essay revisions. He assigns an appropriate amount of interesting weekly readings. The class itself is very engaging and entertaining. I hear a lot of complaints about many English teachers at UCLA, but Gudas was amazing! I definitely recommend his class. If you do the readings, participate, and do your essay revisions, you should get an A or A- in the class. If your not the best writer, his office hours help a lot !

Professor Gudas is an amazing person. I thoroughly enjoyed writing because of him. If you have time definitely go to his office hours to get advice on your essay because he will tell you specifically what he is looking for you to correct. If I could take his class again I would because I loved him so much. 10/10

Dr. Gudas is an awesome professor but his class is NOT EASY. Personally he is an esaygoing guy, but he'd be the first to tell you he's not an easy grader. I got a B in the course, and I totally understand why--a combination of my own writing abilities (so so) and my (lack of) time to put into the course. I didn't turn in any revisions for a re-grade, which I know most of my classmates did. But I know Dr. Gudas would have been there to help me out 100% if I bothered to go to office hours. Anyway, I totally recommend Dr. Gudas to anyone taking EngComp 3, but he's not a pushover. Go into the class ready to work and you'll learn a ton about writing.

Literally my favorite professor of ALL TIME. Took him for Eng Comp 2, and I wanted him for Eng Comp 3 so bad but his class filled up. Honestly, if you go to office hours and just talk to him you wont to bad in the class. Topics are pretty interesting and can pertain to everyone.

Professor Gudas is the kindest person on earth. It was my first quarter at ucla and was really intimidated by the size of lectures and etc. Bc the classes are small (20ppl) I really had a chance to get to know my classmates and the professor. He Is really approachable and helps you if you after things. I didn't have the opportunity to attend most of his office hours but if u have the opportunity, don't be lazy: GO! his work load is really fair so you won't be stressed about it. Participation does count so be ready to discuss during class. he also gives you the choice to re-write assignments, which is great cause it helps u boost your grade. Overall I really really enjoyed his class, if you can take him. He's the most caring professor I've had so far and was sad when he's English comp 3 was booked out haha
