Hudson is a very engaging professor and one of the best lecturers I've ever had.

That said, he also doesn't post notes, there is no textbook, and you're pretty much screwed if you miss class. The homework is a pain in the ass and while the midterm was really easy, the final really wasn't.

Overall, I really like the class and the professor though. You learn a lot about quantum computing and learn a lot of quantum mechanics too in the meantime. Paired with Comp Sci 238, this is a pretty fun course. You don't need to come with too much background knowledge, just a bit of Quantum Mechanics and lot of linear algebra.

10/10. Would take again.

Professor Hudson is a great Professor and really tries to give an intuitive approach to Quantum Computation. Quantum Mechanics as a background is required.
