Quarter: Fall 2017
Grade: A-
Dec. 23, 2017

This course is perfect for students that have little to no chemistry background. I found the first four weeks very slow-paced (we went over significant figures for an entire week) and the workload was light. Scerri assigns problems from the back of the book, which is available for free as a pdf, and it is due every two weeks. The class breakdown is as follows: Homework-30% Midterm-30% Final-40%. Homework is graded for accuracy, the midterm is simple but little mistakes add up so be careful, and the final is long but fair. He releases past exams right before the midterm and final. These are essential study tools because they are almost identical to the actual tests (same problems, but different numbers). The only wildcard problems on the exams are the conceptual problems so take note of any experiments he talks about during class.
