This class wouldn't be as difficult as it is if Eric was persistent. In this class you will be assigned fairly simple hw questions all easy to understand and complete. However when the tests come around and you are given a practice worksheet it reflects nothing you did in the homework. It is extremely difficult and does not include any answers to check your work. If you want us to know how to do these hard problems give us them for homework or at least give us the answers so we know what the hell we're doing instead of letting us wander blindly...

He was one of the best professors I had freshman year. His lectures were clear and easy to follow. His exams were fair and he gave extra credit which was GREAT. He was also very helpful and approachable. And as the other posts say he is good looking.

I don't know why he doesn't have better ratings. He is an amazing professor. His tests are easy and relevant to what he teaches. He gives extra credit for showing up to lecture for crying out loud. Clear lectures. Great office hours. One of the best professors I have had at UCLA

Math 1

It was a pretty straightforward class. He's a pretty straightforward teacher. He's very open and will kindly answer questions during lecture.

If you do the homework and the practice problems and study you can pass the midterms and final.

The book is on PDF, although you have to pay around $60 for a program called aleks (similar to khans academy) to go over problems online.

Post-midterm less and less people started coming to lecture and one day he gave extra credit for everyone that was in class, so don't skip lecture.

I came to his office hours three times, once again he's really helpful, I would suggest going as soon as you need help instead of waiting to go to the last office hour before a test because they do tend to fill up and you might not even get a chance to get your question answered.

Make sure to get a discussion as late in the week as possible because I had a Tuesday discussion and he would send out the homework assignments Monday night so I rarely had time to do it for the following day and have questions for the TA especially because the homework has problems that will be covered throughout the week.

He is a very good professor. He does his best to answer the students questions and makes sure that you understand the material. If you ask a question during class, he will answer it and help you understand it.

He is handsome but thats not really important. Take his class. He's laid back yet willing to help you. You kind of have to learn the material on your own tho. Its just math, if you get it, you get it. The class had 2 midterms and 1 final. Overall a good experience.

Math background is not so strong, and he made it worse. Did not teach effectively. Literally just read off his notes and didn't seem to engage his students.
PS-- Good looking fella, looks like the blonde version of Zac Efron.
PPS-- Math TA = cutieee (Alex Wertheim)
