This was an okay class!
You have
- 1 midterm: come up with an imaginary art piece and explain it
- 1 final: curate a 10 piece exhibition and explain it
- 2 events reports
- 2 screening reports
- (Extra Credit) 5 discussion blog comments
- (Extra Credit) 3rd screening report
The hardest part of this class is definitely having to look through the course reader to find sources for your writing assignments. It's really time consuming so I recommend starting on writing assignments early.
I also recommend going to the the TA and the reader to get your writing assignments reviewed. It really helped me a lot!
I think the only reason why I didn't get an A is because (1) I did my midterm assignment the day that it was due and didn't put any effort into it and (2) I didn't do the 3rd screening report EC.
The lectures themselves are a bit dry, but it's okay. Overall, I recommend this class!
Only take the class if you can handle the writing, I just hate writing so I did not do well in this 'F'ing class. the writing required, at least 5 blog post(extra credit), 2 screening report, 2 event report, one midterm paper(2000-2500) and final (200-2500). good professor, interesting material, a lot of reading :( Also they inform the paper prompt a week before it is due(I hate that).
