Fall 2024 - I LOVED THIS CLASS!! DO NOT LISTEN TO THE PREVIOUS REVIEWS!! Coming from a student who did not do super amazingly in the core series, this class renewed my love for the major. Not only was the class so much easier than the core series classes, it was super interesting. I genuinely feel as though I have learned material that I can use in my daily life and can confidently say that I can explain the material of this class. FGP is very considerate of his students and has shifted his grading scale to encourage participation. THIS IS A GOOD THING!! There were two quizzes in the class that were very easy as long as you skimmed the material. Also, FGP gave clicker questions during the lectures (used to track attendance) which were almost word for word the questions he used on both the midterm and final exams. There was also a partner presentation and paper, which both required only some effort. Maybe the hardest part of the class was remembering to do the discussion posts based on participation. Additionally, I found the textbook online but I didn't even end up using it past the first week. Overall, I would DEFINITELY recommend this class!!
