I took Park for math 31b and 32a and have to say that he is one of the best teachers I have had at UCLA so far! Here are just a few of the reasons why Park is awesome:

1. He is a great lecturer and makes all of the material easy to understand.
2. No dry lectures; additionally he has that corny sense of humor that adds to things
3. Friendly and helpful in office hours
4. Seems to have a strong interest in students. Knew my name after only a couple times going to office hours.
5. Fair grader. If you put in the time and effort to understand the material you will do well in this class. 6. In my opinion, he is also pretty fair on the exams and doesnt ask any questions that are unnecessarily tricky.

Teachers like this are the reason I enjoy learning, and I will definitely take Dr. Park again if I ever have the chance to. If you have the chance to take this guy for any math class do not miss out on it!!!

I had Dr. Park for 32A and 33A. By far and away he is my favorite professor at UCLA. 32A was like taking a high school class again: the instructor cared about you, TAUGHT the material, and helped out constantly. 33A was amazing too, but only because I went to office hours constantly. I loved being able to walk into his office whenever I could to talk about life with Dr. Park. He will surely be missed at UCLA, so i hope those anteaters appreciate him!

This class is pretty simple. The concepts are basic and easy to follow. Dr. Park has pretty good notes and really cares about his students doing well. He gives practice midterms and finals that are almost exactly the same structure as the actual tests. He also does review sessions during which he goes over the solutions to the practice tests. Going to office hours is very helpful too, so I would advise it if you're looking for a good grade.
