By far the best professor I've had at UCLA - caring, honest, thoughtful, brilliant, and wonderful to listen to. He makes lecture fun to go to and tells jokes all the time.
The material itself is fairly straight-forward (Though admittedly a bit complicated). Study Freixes' notes and your own lecture notes, as he bases most of the final exam and midterm off of them. As long as you always go to lecture (Which is tons of fun) and keep up to date on notes and studying, you should be fine.
Everyone should totally take this class, even if you're not interested in law. Prof. Freixes makes paying thousands of dollars to UCLA worth every penny.
Freixes is a really great professor. His real life examples from his past cases help you to remember the material. The exams are open book, but you should take some really good notes because the book is bigger than a dictionary. The midterm and final are moderately difficult because of the fact that you must be completely (I repeat COMPLETELY) thorough in your written explanations. There are also a whole lot of exceptions to laws that are a little bit tricky. I came out of the class with a B+ but it is possible to get an A if you can pay attention to all the little details. Nevertheless, I really recommend this class because every law is applicable to real life. You'll learn your legal rights and that is far more valuable than your GPA.
His name is spelled SEXIER backwards, how can you go wrong? He's one of the best profs at UCLA, by far. He cares about the students, remembers people's names, and brings in great stories to illustrate ideas. His tests are hilarious, also consisting of funny stories. He even bought both his classes pizza and drinks for the review session out of his own pocket. A great guy and an amazing teacher. I would recommend him to everyone, not only accounting minors or biz-econ majors.
I have never met anyone who does not like Gonzalo Freixes and I probably never will. Simply put, he is a great teacher; one of the best I've ever had. His lectures and online notes are well organized. His exams are difficult, but fair. It is a shame we do not have more professors like him at UCLA. Take any class that he is teaching, regardless of your major.
I absolutely loved management 108 with Professor Freixes. His lectures are interesting and he has a lot of funny little personal experiences and anecdotes that he likes to share. His exams are pretty straight forward and the questions are amusing in themselves. He's very nice and approachable and I liked the whole seating chart thing. When you raise your hand, he calls on you in this way that seems like he totally knows you. It's rather nice. Definitely take him if you have the chance.
Professor Freixes is an unbeleivable teacher. I was stoked to attend every class. His teaching method is very practical, interesting, and straight-forward. The content of his lecture was so useful, it was hard to fall asleep in class because you want to hear whats coming next. And before you know it, class is over and you still want more.
