If you can grasp the concepts quickly and have an intuition on corporate law, you probably wouldn't have to spend extra time self-teaching CPA materials online like I did. Overall the class was fun and Mr.Klein is a nice and funny guy, but sometimes he isn't the most available professor for students because he also has other commitments. I can only speak for the past summer session tho. Overall I found classmates to be more helpful so it is important to befriend yourself with classmates.

We only had a midterm and a final. Tests are challenging. Don't just memorize the concept. You need to think about constantly how those concepts apply in real cases. With numbers and dates. The exam curve helps you than with no curves.

He only tests on what is taught is class so textbook is not necessary. If you have some problems with concepts on the course reader you can easily find the explanations online. Don't buy the textbook as you barely need it.

Selling the course reader, with great notes and 50% discount than the original price. Text me at **********. Good luck to whoever plans to take this class.

Professor Klein is funny. It was too early in the morning so a lot of ppl were half baked or asleep. His tests are super straight-forward, multiple choice, no difficulty. You either know what you learned and can apply it or you can't. His class consists of two tests and that's it. Grades are posted before the time stated. Excellent student service but note: he did not wish us a good summer like the rest of the other Professors. Does Professor Klein wish ill-will on his Spring 2016 class? I think he was just pissed at us. I highly recommend you record lectures and go over the notes and the reader extensively. I don't know how I got a B, I feel like I know the material. Excellent professor and delivery. The man will amplify your vocabulary. One of the best if not the best of Professors you will encounter at UCLA. His Midwestern accent is culturally enriching to hear for those who have never been to those places. Strongly recommend as professor and instructor.

Professor Klein was very engaging and made the class really interesting. His lectures are essentially great summaries of the textbook (which go way too in depth into the material for this class), and he sprinkles in lots of stories to help make the material more understandable.

His tests aren't hard, but they aren't easy either. Both the midterm and the exam were multiple choice and yes/no questions. The midterm had about 25 questions and the final about 35. The problem is that there are so many minor distinctions between when certain laws apply that you end up second-guessing yourself on a lot of the questions. Overall a great class, just be prepared for the exams.

Dope professor. Say what you will about the material / exams / humor, but pretty much everything he teaches comes from a real-life experience. This makes Mgmt 108 one of the very few UCLA courses that can be directly applied to real life. He is pretty funny (though I am easy to please) and makes it seem like he actually gives a crap about what he is teaching, which is refreshing. I would recommend this course for anybody who is interested in business law.

The exams were a bit tough, but I like situations given are realistic and require you to apply your knowledge to solve the problem. I am a major slacker, never bought the book, but went to every class and paid attention between doodling. I studied an hour a night for 3 nights before the exams and ended up with a B (which I feel I deserve)
