Spring 2025 - First of all, this course is not as it is advertised. It is not a lecture, but more of a seminar in which students gather to share their opinions on general topics. There are SO MANY READINGS but no tests of any sort. As long as you skin one of two of each day’s readings (there’s at least 8 a week), you’ll be fine. There are no “tests,” only essays. The midterm is a short response paper. The final is a long research paper. He does grade these pretty hard. He is a nice guy and you can tell he is interseted in the conversations… but he’s not as interested in his students’ success. I would reccomend this class overall because it is relatively stress-free, but cabeware that it can become frustratingly boring and repetitive.
