Professor Ju Hee is so nice. I definitely recommend taking her class because I feel like I actually learned something. She's very understanding and I really liked her teaching style, which was not based on grades, but on retained information. She makes it so that you actually learn, and not feel too pressured to get things wrong. You do have workbook assignments each week, a forum assignment (like discussion), and a couple tests. She's super sweet and good with communication!
As someone who could barely speak any Korean before taking this class, I am so glad to have taken this class with Professor Ju. She really cares about her students, and in my opinion, is quite good at teaching Korean. While the pacing of this class did feel too fast at some points, Professor Ju did her best to make sure we were learning as well as we could, and she even adjusted the way she taught based on student feedback. Just a heads up, this class can be chill, but you do have to put in work and effort. Each lecture and discussion attendance is worth points, and there are usually either vocab quizzes or homework assignments for every discussion, so as long as you stay on top of everything, this class should be a great experience for you. Totally recommend
