Quarter: Spring 2019
Grade: N/A
May 23, 2019

The professor is knowledgable about the material and has a lot of experience in the field. It is very hard though to understand anything he is saying combined with slides that are incomprehensible. These factors make it very difficult to be engaged and enthusiastic about the class. It is unfortunate because you can tell that the subject has the potential to be very interesting, I just was not able to understand anything that he was saying. He gives you possible questions on the midterm and final which are a plus, so what you do is answer the questions beforehand and anticipate the other questions that will be on the tests. Your grade is only comprised of the midterm, final, and self-survey you fill out.

Quarter: Spring 2017
Grade: B+
Sept. 20, 2017

Professor Adelman is extremely knowledgeable of course material but is not always clear in explaining information. The class is very group discussion based so you will spend a lot of time discussing topics with classmates to prepare for exams. Midterm and final are essay based & are graded a bit harshly. Be sure to use really use your critical analyzation skills on exams and understand the big picture of textbook readings (which are covered in lecture for the most part) in order to do well.

Professor Adelman is very entertaining in his lectures and he tries as much as possible to engage the class, even though it is a big lecture hall. The class is doable. Just do all the reading and go over the pre-test questions and you will be fine. I missed a couple lectures, but did all my readings and I got an A in the class.
