Professor Yoon is an incredibly engaging lecturer (one of the best I've ever seen at UCLA). This class was intimidating as a non-native speaker, but she was extremely clear in her explanations and expectations. We covered some unique and niche topics, and a lotttt of 4 character idioms that I probably would not have encountered had I not taken this class -- she really likes explaining hanja which was helpful as well! Super interesting content and tests were similar to homework, readings, and other material discussed in lecture.

I love the professor. Very sweet teacher who genuinely cares for her students. Also, this class is easy enough if you're a native speaker -- you definitely learn new things and you have to study to get an A, but I feel like it's not an unreasonable amount. I got a B+ but that's because I didn't study enough lol. A nice upper-div to take on the side if you're interested in it.
