I took this class in the summer (session) term, so it was online, and with that being said, it was great, it was easy, and honestly just a perfect upper-division class. You have weekly assignments that you have to do, but all of them are honestly very easy, and I'd say fun. You genuinely learn a lot about gardening, and I'd say the name should just be changed to Introduction to gardening. But joke aside, you get skills that you can use outside of class and even start implementing on the spot, but overall it was an easy A, and I'd definitely recommend it (I know you're reading reviews to see whether you should take the class or not).
Professor Basset is one of the nicest professors I have ever had if not the nicest. He is really passionate about what he does and is always willing to help and wants you to succeed. However, I thought this class was going to be more about the history of LA and urban green areas but it is more about gardening, which was not as interesting as I had hoped.
