I loved Education 123 with Professor Share!!! I was really looking forward to taking this class and I left completely satisfied with the experience. This class is unlike any other because Professor Share truly cares about his students and goes beyond just teaching educational concepts, he focuses on how to teach. One of the core ideas we learned is that many people may be knowledgeable in their subject area but do not necessarily know how to teach students effectively. This class really emphasized how fundamental it is to have teachers who are not only skilled but also caring and willing to go above and beyond for their students.
I also appreciated having the opportunity to bring in guest speakers and discuss education topics that mattered to us. These experiences gave great insight into what it means to be a good educator and showed that teaching requires genuine care, dedication, and passion. Professor Share truly embodies these qualities. He cares deeply about his students, and his engaging teaching style leaves you feeling inspired and motivated to learn more. I would definitely take this class again because I truly value education. It is a class that takes you back to your own childhood learning while also giving you the tools you need for future careers in education and reminds us of what it means to be a great educator.
Really interesting and engaging class with a lot of guest speakers. Mandatory attendance, and three reading quizzes. The quizzes are just writing out everything you know to ensure you did the readings, but they are random when they are assigned. Professor Share is really passionate about the topics he teaches. There was one final group project as well.
