I liked how this class gave me new things to learn every week, I feel like I learned a lot about things I didn't know before. My only complaints with this class is that sometimes the lectures and discussions felt a bit redundant or irrelevant to the overall course, so it did not capture my attention as much. However, I did like how the discussions usually pertained to the lectures of the week and how Dr. Wagman seemed genuinely passionate about her subject. It made the class more fun and interesting.
TAKE THIS CLASS!! The easiest class I've taken. Basically a sex ed class for college students. The professor is super educated and well informed and really cares about her students. There was a weekly quiz (unlimited attempts), weekly discussion post, and a group final project. No midterm or final when I took it. The workload is light and the the TAs are very nice. They might have changed up the format of the class but regardless it was a breeze and interesting.
TAKE THIS CLASS!!! It is so light workload wise and SO INTERESTING. You learn about reproductive health, sex, and there are tons of guest speakers that come as well. The teacher is the kindest woman I've ever met. She truly cared about all her students and always chased.
This is definitely my favorite class I have taken at UCLA so far. Dr. Wagman was extremely knowledgable, approachable, and kind. The entire teaching staff truly cared for each student's wellbeing and supported us. The weekly discussion posts (as well as 2 responses to our peers), a short quiz with unlimited attempts, and a few pre-class readings were very manageable each week. There was no midterm or final tests, just a quarter-long group project that was relatively stress-free. This class was taught by amazing people, I learned a lot, and easily got an A.
If you have the opportunity to take this class, do it!! Dr. Wagman is an absolute sweetheart and cares very much for her students. The course basically consists of weekly 250-word discussions, weekly quizzes with unlimited attempts, and a final group project that you'll get plenty of time to work on. Pretty much the chillest and one of the most interesting classes you'll find at this school
