Professor Trott is such an amazing professor for this class! He has the willingness and patience that I don’t often see in my other professors. He offers EC and his homework assignments are more than doable. His exams are also EXTREMELY fair and he even lets you bring in a cheat sheet. He is an amazing professor and I can’t wait to take more classes with him!

Professor Trott is such an amazing teacher, I was so nervous about this class and saw that he was a new professor too so I was even more nervous. But damn, he is such an amazing professor. He explains everything so well and he is super helpful if you don't understand. His class consisted of 2 exams, weekly quizzes which you can take as many times as you need to get a 10/10, some lab assignments, and some extra credit. I am taking 2 more of his classes because he is just so damn good. Take him even if you don't need the class.

This was my first stats class at UCLA and I was so nervous about it. But to my surprise, I really enjoyed it and learned oodles of useful information. Professor Trott is absolutely amazing. He is very good at breaking down complex concepts and cares about his students. As long as you pay attention during lecture and take good notes from the textbook, the class should go swimmingly. I would also highly recommend going to office hours. There was also lab sessions where we went over basic stats software in jamovi. Attendance was not mandatory but I defo recommend going because it is quite interesting. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable this class was. Yes, you do need to study but it was quite manageable and Trott was more than happy to help. Trott is amazing :)

so glad professor trott's bruinwalk profile was updated so i can encourage every interested student to take his class. i think there are very few professors at ucla who are both insanely smart and also kind about it but professor trott is definitely both. i went into this class with 0 knowledge of statistics and he always found a way to explain things to me and i am forever grateful. he's very sweet and wants you to do well!!!! the tests are very manageable, there are weekly quizzes that are simple as long as you review the material. he also offers practice quizzes that aren't mandatory but very helpful for understanding! and study questions at the end of lectures that are also super helpful. if you're nervous to take a stats class like i was, i highly recommend going to office hours as well! he will never make you feel stupid for asking a million questions and will reword concepts for you until you get it. i can't recommend him enough!!!!

Definitely a really time consuming class, so definitely be mindful and set a schedule so you spend equal amounts of time studying for all of your classes because there's a lot to know about this class. His lectures were interesting and engaging. Definitely have to attend class everyday and CANNOT skip a class. He does give extra credit if you participate in one of the studies also there is a SPLASH Zone where you will need to sit in the front on the day you're assigned and you will have a name tag and he will call on you twice so you definitely have to be prepared for that but its okay, There is 1 project at the end of the course due when you have your final. You have cheat sheets available to make but (its one sided only). Weeks 1-4 are pretty easy but after week 4 you definitely have to lock-in there or else you will be lost the whole quarter!! Every exam is cumulative so if you don't know anything you will fail every exam. There are 2 midterms and 1 Final and a final Project. Definitely ATTEND CLASS because you have to turn in a "jupyter notebook" each class and it does count towards your grade and every point counts especially for this class! Also attend your discussion because attendance does count and it'll help boost your grade because if you attend more than 8 you get extra credit.

The professor is great, so nice and helpful. lots of extra credit offered. the class material is pretty manageable, but the first few weeks are tough because it's so much content to get through (although its fairly easy, its a lot of busywork) the exams are honestly easy, theyre very conceptual so you really wanna be able to apply stuff. a lot of the content is just common sense.

JEREMY FREAKING TROTT IS THE GOATTT!!!! if you're going to let any review convince you to take this class, let it be this one. let me tell you, this was probably one of the easiest classes i have taken at ucla. if you're a psychobio major, as am i, and need to take this class for your major, do all you can to take it with trott. i've heard from people that their 100A class was challenging, but this was a complete walk in the park. the way this class is taught is close to perfection. pretty much everything is based in your textbook coursekata, which is basically just modules of chapters you can access through bruinlearn. these can be slightly tedious at times, but are genuinely so easy to complete on time, and you have lots of time to complete them at that. these chapters are your bread and butter. if you can understand them, you can pretty much ace the class. i was extremely intimidated coming from LS30A and LS30B. i have trauma from the code in those classes. they made me HATE coding so much so seeing that psych 100A was coding, i was quite scared to say the least. but let me tell you. easiest code EVER. this class uses 'R' which is so easy to learn and navigate and its not fake like 30B. and the textbook also holds your hand and walks you through it and makes it SO SIMPLE I LOVE IT. besides this, trott is such an amazing professor. he is just so reasonable and he really knows what he's teaching. you can tell he cares about his students. he also WANTS you to do well in this class and offers so much extra credit. i went to almost all the lectures and they were a little slow for my pace, since all you do is work together on some code (was still EXTREMELY helpful btw, just was a little repetitive at times). my only critique is the lab section of this class, did not particularly care for it and it wasn't really helpful, but it was still easy to go to. i really think trott is a truely kind man and i wish all the professors here were like him. he gets 5/5 stars from me. now go trott yourself to your class planner and enroll in this class!!!
