Byock is AMAZING! hes an awesome lecturer, and even though i got a b-, im still really glad i took his class. You learn so much about norse history and its really cool when you take other history classes because everything ties in together. The class consists of midterm, three pop quizzes, final, and a take home map. Byock uses IDs extensively in his final midterm and quizzes so be ready to memorize a lot of terms. he gives review sheets, but his exams have IDs that are not on the review sheets so study everything. midterm was ten IDs and an essay and final was same but with two essays.
