Prof. Torrecilla is one of the most amazing teachers I have had here. He is direct and thorough about every work he goes over in class. I did an honors contract with him that was too long and a pain, but he was the only professor in two quarters who agreed to give one. He knows everything about his subject, is approachable and available, and extremely concerned with his undergrads. This was quite refreshing coming from the bitter Prof. Johnson the quarter before. I only hope I can take Torrecilla again! Also, my TA was Manuel G, the best TA I've had yet.

There was sooooooooo much reading for this class so it is really easy to fall behind. However, the readings are not that important for his tests. You MUST attend lecture. If you miss you, you MUST get someone's notes. This is critical. As long as you pay attention to his lectures and do the study guides, you will get a good grade. I was worried about the lectures being boring, but they were not at all. He is an awesome professor and I would definitely recommend him.

He is very well organized, cares for the students and is concerned with the concepts to be learned. However there is a lot of readings, so make sure that you keep up. Be prepared to stay through out the entire class, he won't stop lecturing until the very end! No breaks either :( Except for that, I higly recommend him.

Very organized, detailed lectures, good for exams, since what he covers will actually be on the exam. He's very concerned about student learning and will make sure everyone understand the concepts and the texts.
too many texts to cover, compared to 120A, its about 2-3 X more in 120B.
As long as reading is kept up, no probs.
