Design of Reinforced Concrete is probably one of the hardest classes for CEE undergrads. This class almost covers the entire ACI 314-18 codebook and she used to teach it at UIUC in 15 weeks, but since UCLA is a quarter system school, we have to learn the material in 10 weeks. It is a very fast-paced class, but as long as you do your own homework and understand the course reader, none of the questions on the midterm and final was a surprise. In order to do well on the exams, you should pay attention to the key concepts she re-emphasizes in lectures, and definitely do her sample midterms to understand the problems because they are difficult. Always go to her office hours if you don't understand the sample midterms or any questions in the class because she is very helpful.
Bottom line, don't skip classes, do the homework by yourself, read the course reader, do her sample midterms, ask her questions, stop complaining how hard it is, and put in the work.
