Professor Hughes is awesome. He is the best professor I have had at UCLA so far. His enthusiasm in teaching is obvious; his lecture is well organized and prepared; his knowledge in materials and experience in teaching made him an extremely effective professor. He is always there to help students. It was great experience taking mgmt 128 with him, the only regret is that the three-month period was too short, I wish this class could last longer so I could learn more from him. If you have any chance to take class with him, go for it!

Incredible Professor. Concern ratings? OH? man, hes here even on sat and sun! thats 7 days! His method is very effective. Instead of cramming (which evaporates from ur brain after da test) 5 or 10 weeks of materials for midterms or finals, he gives 7 weekly quizzes. But they are directly from his notes that he handouts at end of class. He is the KING of handouts. But very organized. What you learn here you can apply to real life. For our project, we had to valuate a publicly traded company. Similar to what a financial analyst does for IB firms. If you are into finance or just practical use of acct/econ, TAKE HIS CLASS. its not easy, but very very useful. other acct or econ course teaches u theoretical crap. for example, Prof. Hughes told us how all the recent firms got caught w da acct scandals.
