Joe is amazing.
He explains the material very well, and is very welcome of questions, wouldn't mind repeating. I never got bored in his class because Joe is just so wholesome and funny. His tests and homework difficulty are on point. His YouTube channel also helps a lot. (Features his hilarious math music videos)
Joe cares about learning more than putting concepts into you. He really gave me a lot of interests in math. Take him.
Joe's the GOAT!
Love integrals? Love analysis? Love Ko Honda? (Neglect that last one... iykyk) Then, Joe is the one for you!
He explains concepts like a pro, he gives interesting problems for assignments, and he allows, nay, encourages you to write "what your heart tells you".
On a more serious note, he truly cares about student learning and if you struggle, he will take the time to delve into a concept, as well as explain it from multiple perspectives. He'll make extremely complex problems seem generic, relatable, and much easier to understand. If you're not that great at math, you'll become somewhat of a genius by the end, and if you're a genius, you'll learn something more.
Pro tip: Go to office hours if you can; that's where all the juicy stuff happens!

Challenging at times, but fair grading / curve (my 86ish was an A-). Very very good at explaining concepts that wouldnt "click" otherwise and lectures are pretty entertaining by math standards. HW isnt bad; assignments due once every 2 weeks and each HW probably takes 4-10 hours depending on how good you are at math. If youre confused, Joe will make sure you understand everything in OH and is overall extremely helpful. Definitely take this class w Joe if you have an interest in math.
